P1

Choice of department: Science
The audience(Male and Female)  will be probably anyone who can use the computer , so the age range is hard to calculate however we will focus on the site and make it easier for elderly people , disabled people or people who simply cant use a computer that well. The main users of the site however will be parents who want to access the site for certain information including the current status of the school ,term dates and events coming up.

Types of multimedia and their purposes

Text: Text showing information about school I.E Teachers , lesson times and subjects throughout the subject.   This will inform parents and other audiences about the aspects of lessons and what each individual subject is made up of. We can have enhancements on texts which will be suitable for people with bad vision.

Audio: Soundtracks maybe included depending on how good I can get the audio quality.  Sound during the interview will be vital as the interview itself will give outsiders from the school and parents vital information on lesson plans. Also we can use voices to read out text for people who have bad vision or who are blind.

Still Image: Images of class rooms and classes in session. Should provide people on the layout of the school and the science department. These will be enhanced as well for people with bad vision. Pictures will include pictures of the classes , experiments going underway and the teachers themselves.

Animation:  Animations of experiments to show viewers what the physics department do. These will be designed to entertain the audiences as well as inform them about key information about the science block.  Animation examples will include experiments.

Video Footage: Video footage of the room or class’s. Or interview with teachers.   This gives the audience additional information about the school and the physics department itself. Subtitles will be included on the video, we will also try to include a range of languages also.

Interactivity:  Virtual tour of the school or certain aspects of information.  It will also show the audience the inside out of the Physics Department.

We first opened a design view of the query. We then appended first name, last name , dob ,address line , town, county and postcode.

One run is clicked this appeared and we then went to query design selected the specific information and created the query.

I then designed it to my personal tastes then exported the query data to Microsoft word.

M4 / P5

In the first shot we can see that the code I have entered into my macro stopped the user from sending off null data to the database. Below we can see the code I have entered , plus the error message box to stop the user from doing this! "IsNull" states that if the field name is empty then the error message I set up will pop up and data will not be appended to my tables.

Below we can see a validation rule I have entered for age. This is the error message I have set in place for underage users and older age users to stop them from entering the database.
